
Bioagrphy
Stella Rose Hoyt is a freshman at Shenandoah Conservatory, pursuing Musical Theatre and Acting. She is a storyteller at heart, and has been since the young age of four. Stella began her theatre journey as a young child and started professionally working at age eight. She feels theatre is one of the most important things in our world today, as it gives a glimpse into other peoples worlds, and creates a connectable environment. With so much change in the world, Stella is striving to make change through art and understanding. Along with her passion for art and performing, she has so much passion for helping others feel seen and heard. Besides theatre, Stella loves to write music, play the piano and guitar, and create videos for social media. She also one day hopes to publish her own book.

Some theatrical credits include: Fun Home at Victory Gardens Theatre (Small Alison), Sound of Music at Beverly Arts Center (Liesl Von Trapp), The Play that Goes Wrong at Theatre at the Center (Annie), Miracle on 34th Street at Theatre at the Center (Susan Walker), and Mean Girls at Oak View Center (Gretchen Weiners). Stella graduated from Homewood Flossmoor High School, where she was nominated for the 2024 and 2025 IHSMTA best actress award for her performance as Little Sally in Urinetown and Delilah McPhee in Between The Lines. Stella was a three year cast member of the All-State Production, being a featured dancer in Shrek, leading her junior year production of She Kills Monsters as Agnes Evans, and closing out her All-State Journey, as Emma Nolan in The Prom. Stella has been in Speech for 4 years, and was the 2024 and 2025 IHSA Speech State Champion in Dramatic Interpretation, becoming one of the most decorated speech competitors in Illinois history.
